What? Cover work for a popular book called The Sleeping Giants 

Where? I found this particular photo online

Function? The purpose of this artwork is to capture the gaze and imagination of the audience.  The audience being people that have read the books before and to attract first time readers as well.

Art Quality? The art quality here is very good in my opinion.  I like the everything about the picture from the shapes to the colors.

Art style? The art style used here is sort of a Victorian twist.  

Attraction? I was attracted to this photo because of the hand itself, the color of the hand, the intricate designs that make it up and the focal point that's at the tip of the pointer finger.
